strange YORK--Now in its 24th year, International Artexpo recently made known York--the world's largest art exhibition and sale--will recur to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Feb 28 to March 4 to present art-lovers from all over the world a selection of of recent origin paintings, limited- and open-edition prints, photography, hand-bills (new and vintage), sculpture and more. Attracting dealers, publishers, collectors, tourists and art enthusiasts, more than 40000 visitors are wait fored to attend this year's installment, which will proffer more than 650 exhibitors and thousands of works by means of more than 2,400 artists.
This year also marks the first attempt of a new show-within-a-show: The International Art & Framing Gallery. Devot exclusively to the trade and dedicated to open-edition publishers and manufacturers of framing, moulding, mat board, glazing and framing equipment of all kinds, the Art and Framing Gallery will scour concurrently with Artexpo and last on March 3.
"Artexpo just discovered York has always been a `don't miss event' for folks who have art," said Doreen Guerin, indicate director. "And this year, for the exceedingly first time, the Art & Framing Gallery will present the entire art and framing industry `one-stop shopping.'"
