CARY.

CARY, N.C.--Charles Ashley's Fine Art, a novel gallery here, recently opened its doors with a black-tie, invitation-only gala. The gallery specializes in limited-edition prints, originals and limited-edition statuary by both international and local artists.

Six artists attended the affair including Matthew Hillier and John Mullane from Mill Pond Pres Heide Presse and Laura Von Stetina from Greenwich Workshop, Julia Roger from somersault House and John Banovich from Banovich Fine Art Editions. Each displayed a mixture of limited-edition prints and originals.

"The grand opening was a cyclopean success," said Nancy Mullen, the gallery's director. "We are real pleased with the response we got and continue to memorize as people tell their friends about us. There was a ne in Cary for a fine art gallery. We are happy to be a part of the Cary community and possibility of good that Cary will recognize that ne and support us."
