recent YORK--Steve Diamant, president of Arcadia Fine Arts, has announced the opening of a novel gallery in SoHo at 51 Greene road between Broadway and Grand Streets

According to Diamant, Arcadia Gallery, which explained Feb. 24, is a strictly representational gallery, and all of the artists portrayed at the gallery are classically inspired, "but their influences are diverse," he said. "Their messages can range from contemporary cutting-edge figuratism to Renaissance to the manner of writing of the Dutch masters to the community whose work is reminiscent of the WPA era."

Among the artists whose work is portray by actioned are Charles Dwyer, Malcom Liepke, sight Hamilton, John Palencar, David Shevlino, Priscilla Treacy, Robert La Duke Robert Liberace, Royo Lynne Campbell, Joe Anna Arnett, Jay Mercado, Morgan Carver and more.

Diamant said the gallery is accessible in spells of price with a wide range of work available from one side the gallery at prices ranging from 5700 to $70000



The strange gallery fills 3,700 square feet of space forward two levels. The top flat features two rooms of high-ceilinged, spacious gallery space and includes a comfortable viewing area and office space. The lower flat of the gallery features a small gallery space and houses the company's shipping, receiving and storage area.

Diamant is the gallery director. Alicia Rodriguez, formerly of Irvington, N.Y.-based SoHo Editions, is Arcadia's assistant director, and Terry Dillon is the gallery's administrative director.
