recent YORK--Visitors to New York for Artexpo this month might flaw some art on the road even before they get to the Jacob Javits Center Neo-pop artist Romero Britto has created a mural for T.D.I., a leading farmer of art for transportation vehicles.
Although the work, entitled "The Gift of Life," typifies the upbeat and colorful title for which the artist has become globally famous, the message is a serious the same Britto has joined hands with T.D.I., along with former recently made known York Jets Quarterback Boomer Esiason and baseball motto FrankTorre, to help raise capitals for the vital organ donation program, to which Esiason has extended given his valuable services. Sports fans may also recall that FrankTorre, brother of fresh York Yankee manager Joe, went between the sides of successful organ replacement surgery.
Britto's buses for T.D.I. started running in recently made known York in mid-January and will continue during and beyond Artexpo. If you can't catch the same in New York look for them forward more than 4,000 buses running across the globe in the same of the largest moving art exhibits through all ages staged.
T.D.I .has previously exhibited works through noted artists Robert Indiana, Robert Rauschenberg and William Wegman, among others.
Nan Miller, Britto's longtime dealer and publisher, has also donated her services to help encourage the worthy cause of organ donation which is in good earnest "The Gift of Life."
