HONOLULU--Hogue Publishing Inc. has announced the addition of Hawaii-based artist Lori T Higgins to its growing portfolio of artists to be marketed and sold worldwide. Higgins joins Al Hogue with whom the company has gained international acclaim for the design, manufacture and marketing of his art-based productions and James Hoyle, a more novel addition to the Hogue portfolio.
Higgins was raised in succession the East Coast and attended the Institute of Art in Philadelphia before earning a psychology class at Schiller International University in Germany and England. Following her academic work, she became a offer relief worker and convoy driver for a humanitarian aid organization in Bosnia in 1994 That experience provided a turning point, personally and professionally, and Higgins casted to art after traveling the world, from trekking in the Himalayas to cave diving in Central America, trying without corporate life in New York (Bloomberg Financial News) and finally moving to Maui.
While continuing to application of mind the old masters, Higgins said she paints with a vitality and force of emotion that portrays the beauty of life that she has experienced within herself and in consequence of other souls she has met along the way. Higgins is a portrait artist who said she utilizes sepia tones in her enslaves to further enhance the romance and drama of her pieces. Hogue Publishing will generate several of Higgins' Polynesian/South Pacific themed pieces, including "Aloha," "Island Wishing," "Spirit Lover" "Tender Love" and "The Offering."
Hogue Publishing Inc. was created in early 2000 for the design, manufacture and marketing of the art-based works of artist Al Hogue and a portfolio of other artists, including James Hoyle of Kauai, Hawaii.
