FAYETTEVILLE.FAYETTEVILLE, GA.--BF/Ink Jet Media had introduced a cotton-weave, artist-grade canvas called Artist Grade Millennium Canvas for use in succession all commercial, wide-format digital printers. The canvas gives a unique combination of printability, flexibility and water repellency according to the company. Artist Grade Millennium Canvas has the typical web of canvas. The novel coating onward the new canvas contains a flexible, water-repellent polymer and a fresh kaolin-based ink-jet pigment. The canvas accepts texturing gel and other canvas embellishments. Since the coating is water repulsive the canvas does not usually ne protective top or intermediate coats before other treatments or layers of paint are applied. Beyond this, the coating's inherent elasticity makes it les likely to crack when revolveed or stretched. Artist Grade Millennium Canvas is a 21-mil material that weighs 400 grams by square meter.
